Vanessa

It should be no surprise that I love working with confident, ambitious bad ass humans and I remember the day when Vanessa and Sandy or NCS Pro commanded me to meet with them. At the time I had a full team of hair and makeup stylists, but they wanted to meet anyhow. I remember sitting across from them and loving the energy they brought to the space and immediately knew I’d have to find a way to make room for them on the roster.

Vanessa is a lot like me. She’s an achiever, a visionary, and ready to adapt on the fly. While these are great attributes to have in business, I also know we share their downsides: the inability to slow down, the frustration with not getting to your goals fast enough, and the constriction that comes with the consistency that business requires to be successful. When the pandemic hit, she had to pivot her business but also lost access to part of her usual creative outlet, so when she asked if I could photograph her post-lockdown I of course said yes and when she described her vision to me, I knew exactly what kinda vibe we were going for: Regal Goth Vampy Vibes.
