A Self-Acceptance Mirror Upcycling & Photography Experience with Teri Hofford & Miranda Charlotte

Body Image Educator & Photographer Teri Hofford & Mirror Up-cycling Artist Miranda Charlotte are joining forces to bring you a glorious 3 hour experience to help you reframe what you see when you look in the mirror using art, photography, and self inquiry.

What to Expect

With Miranda’s warm guidance, you'll upcycle a vintage mirror using collage, paint, and mixed media techniques – turning it into a one-of-a-kind reflection of your inner world. As you work, Teri will offer thoughtful prompts and questions to explore your relationship with your reflection. You’ll also be invited to write a private message to your future self, tucked behind your mirror – an intimate reminder or promise to carry forward.

In the second half of the session, you’ll take part in a relaxed group photo session, followed by individual portraits with your newly transformed mirror. Teri’s photography style is rooted in authenticity and ease – there’s no pressure to perform or pose. Just come as you are, wear whatever feels most like you, and allow yourself to be seen.

You’ll leave with a renewed sense of self, a mirror that reflects more than your appearance, and a set of four beautifully edited digital portraits that honour your journey.

“Seeing ourselves - whether in a mirror or a photograph - is the perfect AWARENESS space to start dismantling all of the narratives we’ve been told about our body image. Through the act of curiosity & kindly making friends with what we see, we allow ourselves to become liberated from what we’ve been taught we should look like and start to embrace the authentic beauty that’s always been there.”

Meet Your Facilitators

Both are passionate advocates for body neutrality and self-love. Check out the interview they did together here!

  • Photographer, body image educator, TEDx speaker, podcaster, and author

Teri’s work challenges harmful beauty ideals and celebrates self-acceptance. After years of running a successful boudoir studio, Teri realised the need to shift focus after feeling her work was still part of the problem she was fighting against – the expectations and pressures of unattainable beauty standards in our society. She now combines her background in Applied Positive Psychology with her creative practice to help others rewrite the narratives they hold about their bodies and their worth through a variety of different mediums - meeting them where they are.

  • Up-cycling Artist

Miranda is a South London-based artist who transforms forgotten mirrors into vibrant, nature-inspired artworks. Her creative practice began as a personal ritual—to reframe her own reflection and support her healing from body image and disordered eating. Today, she hosts workshops that weave together creativity, self-compassion, and play, and has collaborated with brands like Not On The High Street and the London Design Festival. Her sessions are known for being welcoming, soothing, and transformative.
