6 Weeks to Embrace Yourself In Photos & Life
From Cringe to Compassion
“I look bad in photos”
”There’s a reason why I’m a photographer”
”I hate myself in photographs”
”I always looks terrible when someone takes my photo”
These are just a handful of phrases that I have heard in my career as a photographer in the past 15 years. Whether I was photographing weddings, families, portraits, boudoir, etc. it never mattered - during my consultation almost every single person would confide in me that they hated the way they looked.
And it got me thinking…if everyone hates the way they look, maybe it’s not about their looks at all. And that led me to conduct some research in the past few years to uncover a handful of reasons why we struggle to embrace what we see in a photograph and even, in a mirror.
5 of those reasons were discussed in my Tedx Talk:
5 Reasons You Look Bad in Photos
While I provided a suggestions on how to start embracing yourself in photos, I knew I wanted to take this deeper because there are a ton of folks out there who’s gifts are needed in the world, but they are too afraid of being seen.
I want to literally walk with you through the process of changing how you see yourself in photos - past, present, and future - so that, at the end of 6 weeks, when you see yourself in photos (yes, even the “bad” ones) it no longer takes away your self esteem or confidence.
When we release the fear of being seen, we can shift our focus to what’s really important: our mission & purpose.
