Graphistudio Workshop in Italy 2022
With the announcement of the the 2023 GraphiStudio Workshop in Italy, I realized I never shared my experience from last year since I was off social media for the month of June! Well, I can hang onto these no longer because you need to know what magic was created at the top of this mountain over the course of 3 days. Myself, Kara Marie, and Sue Bryce taught 60 students every day on how to become more in alignment to why they want to do the work they do, whether it was breaking through business mindset blocks, building up confidence and getting creative, or challenging their body image biases and beliefs, these students came ready to learn, experience, and explore. We gathered daily at a CASTLE, using the grounds and building to create more magic and it was on the 3rd day that I convinced almost 60 humans to don their flesh toned garments to celebrate the bodies. Arm in arm they stood with the sunsetting behind them and as they clutched their bellies and planted their feet into the earth, they shouted:
MY BODY IS ART
The mountains shook and the churchbells rang as these glorious humans nestled into each other, only strangers the days before! THIS is why I do what I do - when I first started the week, I had maybe 20 interested humans and they just kept pouring out of the castle onto the lawn - I was in AWE and I can’t wait to do it all again this year.
