Taylor

In August I had the pleasure of teaching a workshop in Salmon Arm, BC and part of the experience was to show photographers how to pose HUMANS based on how they want to feel, not to pose based off of their genitals. The photography industry is incredibly archaic with its rules that adhere to beauty standards that support the gender binary, but that can cause folks to feel unseen, like they are playing pretend, or even dislike themselves in images. Knowing how to pose the HUMAN is integral to the photographic experience and returning folks back to the documentation of FEELING. For this particular session, my buddy Taylor came to model for us and she brought her packer so that we could play along the gender binary - these images are some of my favorites I’ve ever taken of her and you are the first to see them!!
