Light Work

A few months ago Jill came over to help me try some fun creative ideas out in my makeshift basement studio. Inspired by my friend Jonny Edward, we grabbed a flashlight, turned off the lights, turned down the shutter speed (10 seconds - 30 seconds), and gathered some fun outfits. With my camera on the tripod, I would open the shutter and then use the flashlight to paint light on Jill as she moved or barely moved to create a ghosty blurred effect. Towards the end, we grabbed a sheet of mylar film and tinsel that I had lying on the floor and created some magic.

[Obviously, these images are a little different than my traditional work for clients - but this type of work IS possible, if you want to play during your photoshoot! Simply screenshot these images and share them with me during your session!]
