Just A Bunch of Self Portraits 5.22.20

Every time I do a bout of self portraits, I usually only end up sharing 3-5 from each set despite the fact that I take and keep approximately 10-100 each time. So, I am going to start doing a photo dump every month of a bunch of my favorite self portraits that never saw the light of day before! These are some of the keepers from my recent self portrait session 5.22.21.

With each of these blog posts, I am going to share a few tips and tricks for self portraits! So, for this particular set, the beige canvas backdrop behind me is a simple painter’s tarp from Home Depot that cost me $28! It looks rustic and gives a raw look to the images which I love so much - just make sure you wash it before using it because you will get a lot of crease lines! The second little tidbit I will give you for this series is to use a variety of magical textiles : in these I have robes made of chiffon, satin, and cotton - I find chiffon has great hang time for ghostly images! If you want to get a quick tutorial on how to make these robes, I have it packed into the All Access pass for photographers!
