35 Minutes East 2pm Bad Ass Cotton

I had big plans to do my Universe Decides shoots at the start of summer, but I forgot to factor in the fact that I would be gone for June, July & August outside of a week here or there. So, while I was home this week before taking off on Sunday to kick of the East coast Homecoming tour I got together with one of my besties to do a photoshoot. I laid the cards out on my desk and sent them to her to select which cards the Universe would give us! While 4/5 of the cards she chose ended up being “YOUR CHOICE!” we ended up redrawing so that we’d have more constraints and we ended up with:

Travel Time: 35 minutes
Direction: East
Shoot time: 2pm
Mood: Bad Ass
Wardrobe: Cotton

While we started with a cotton sundress, I last minute threw a vintage wedding dress into the back of the car because I had a feeling it would work well with the shoot and wouldn’t ya know it - those were some of my favorite images! After a quick stop to grab some cigarettes (I have a thing for women smoking which is wild since I’ve never smoked anything in my life! But hey, we like what we like!) we ended up outside the city (even past Steinbach!) and at some random natural gas service station with a field and forest. So, we decided on “JILTED BRIDE” as the theme for the shoot and had fun making it come to life!
