Warm Glow of Morning

golden light
filtering through lace curtains
playful shadows dance on walls
steam of coffee
drifts upwards
greeting the sun rays
stretching eagerly to say
”good morning”
the smell of fresh rain
rides the breeze as it trickles through the windchime
gentle sounds
swaying
harmonizing with morning songbirds
the only alarm clock I desire
vintage fabric coated furniture
in warm light
sets my heart a flutter
”It’s safe here”
I whisper
Dreamy prisms catch the light
cascading rainbows across the room
what a beautiful way
to start a day
with the
warm glow of morning.
