Photos That Haven’t Been Seen Before - part 3

Here is a batch of self portraits I took, the second day before leaving my studio. I only had my backdrop stand + the backdrop you see and a few odds and ends. I wanted to do a self portrait session that was real, honest, raw, and incorporated only the things that were left in the studio. As I struggled to put up a backdrop in my basement yesterday I grieved the space I had and my brain quickly went to “Did I make a mistake?” But then I remembered that nothing is a mistake and that I knew this would be hard and that I know there’s something different that I am being called to do right now. But I won’t lie and say it’s easy. The day these photos were taken, also wasn’t easy. What happens when what you thought you wanted is no longer what you need?
