Wish.

Wish is one of the least empowering words that I can think of

If we continue to wish for things,
we remove our responsibility.

It’s easier to wish for things than it is to actually go get them.

Wishing isn’t the same as doing
But if you tell yourself that it is
You will always feel
Weak,
Behind,
Unsuccessful,
Less than,
and
Lack.

When you wish upon a star
You probably won’t get very far
Because it is not the star’s responsibility
to get you anywhere.

(sorry to dash your childhood song!)

Throw a penny in the wishing well,
Now you are a penny short
and have wasted time waiting for magic
instead of working towards your goal, desire, or dream.

Now, I don’t want this to be too
Dream-dashy,
however,
WISHING
removes
accountability,
responsibility,
and
action.

Wishing you had confidence won’t give you confidence
Wishing you had won the lottery won’t make you go back in time and pick the winning numbers
Wishing someone would text you back won’t make them text you back
Wishing your business would be more successful won’t create a strategic action plan
Wishing your body look, behaved, or felt different doesn’t take away from how it currently does
Wishing you had more money, won’t make your bank deposits any higher

But you know what will do all of these things?

ACTION.
YOU, TAKING ACTION.

So, the next time you go to say

“I WISH…”

I want you to replace it with

“I AM ACTIVELY STRIVING FOR…”

”I AM WORKING TOWARDS…”

”I AM…”

”I AM CREATING BEHAVIORS THAT WILL HELP ME….”

Do this for a month and let me know how it goes.
