The Wild Roses Festival
At the beginning of July, I had the immense pleasure of teaching a workshop at The Wild Roses Festival just outside of Edmonton, Alberta. This was the 5th year of the festival and I was incredibly privileged to bring my ACING BODY IMAGE workshop to the forest. While I’ve taught in many places, teaching in a little clearing surrounded by trees, whispy clouds, dappled light is at the top of my list. It makes me want to set up my backyard for a workshop series next summer! I was on FIRE during this talk and for the first time running, I have to say I nailed it. The engagement was high, there were tears, there was laughter, there were hugs, and there was radical honesty ~ all the things I love to see in my audience. We were just so supported in the space, with nature, the women, and the overall festival experience. I brought Aroha along to take photos, but when we arrived they said she couldn’t so she got to enjoy the workshop as well and she became my surrogate hugger for some of the attendees. If you are into festivals, supportive women-centered experiences, and being in nature, then I highly highly highly recommend this event. It was top notch with tons of amazing details. I’ll share the photos I grabbed on my phone while I was there at the bottom!
Here are a few of the photos that were captured by Rebecca Walker!

And here’s my photos from the festival!
