She Was a Fairy…

Last week I zipped down to Edmonton to hangout with my friend Brina. I really got to know Brina well when she came to my Body Image Bootcamp retreat a few years ago and since then, I’ve watched her flourish as a boudoir photographer & women’s empowerment leader! Her facebook group is one of the most beautiful spaces on the internet that is full of some of the most magical vibes. When Brina posted that she was looking for some folks to come play I told her I would come, but only if I could photograph her as well. I had found this beautiful floral negligee at the thrift store and I just knew it would be perfect for her because, if you’ve ever met her, she truly is like a fairy! These images were photographed just a little ways from her house with a highway off to the side, some graffiti that said “If you wanna fuck” and a swamp. This is the beauty of photography, though…we can make magic anywhere ~ because it is the people in front of our lens that are the magic.
