Black Out Poetry
For today’s writing workshop, we did a “black out poetry” warm up. If you aren’t sure what this is, essentially you grab a random page out of a book (that you are okay to ruin), and use the words on the page to create your own poem by redacting the words you do not want! So, I figured for today’s post, I would share mine with you (with a picture of it at the bottom)
NO HELP
no help
she knew
beneath the
muck
safe
ground was
around
She remembered
darkness
She
patiently
struggled
arms and legs
scrambling
exhausted
she re-turned
very tired.
