August Challenge: Week 3
Week 3 and we are over half way done, my friend! Look at you go - clear that clutter, make some space, soon you’ll have a smile on your face!
This week we are going to be tackling the DRAWERS - yes, the junk drawers, office drawers, random bathroom drawers, etc. As mentioned in the previous post, this is where most things go to die if you are any sort of neurodivergent person. This week, we will go through different rooms in the house/office and just do 1 drawer at a time - that’s it - easy peasy!
Challenge: Pick the room you frequent the most and the drawer you actually go into the most
By starting with the room and drawer you use the most, you will most likely see the benefit to cleaning out that drawer. This might be your Tupperware drawer, the junk drawer where you keep your keys (sometimes), your bathroom drawer with decades old makeup, perhaps…
In this room/drawer you are going to make 3 piles: KEEP, GIVEAWAY, THROW AWAY and follow the same instructions as we did in the Wardrobe week.
As you go through the items, I want you to refer back to your Values and use this to guide your selection process! Will those dead batteries help you be more or less creative? (probably less) Will your 7 month old mascara help you be more or less healthy? etc.
You are going to follow this same process and flit from room to room throughout the week. By the end of the week, you should have at least cleaned out 4-5 drawers in your house - if you do more, great! If you do less - great! Even ONE is an improvement from none!
