Sunday Phone Drop : 8.21
Oh my lanta - this week has flooooown by and there are a ton of photos on my phone to commemorate it! The week started with me flying to Toronto where I met up with my ex-boyfriend Hyung Gyung for breakfast. It was amazing to reconnect, reminisce, and remember our time together and it truly was like no time had passed (I mean, he still looks the same!) After breakfast, I hopped on the train from Toronto to London and met up with my friend Aroha who was hosting myself and my friends Jessica & Kayla for the workshop we would do over the next 2 days. We met up with our glorious attendees and models and had 2 days of blowing minds, shifting body image, and empowering clients and models alike - it was epic! The next day, we headed in to Toronto to check out The Boudoir Album facility where all of us get our client products from! It was cool to see how they take our art and make it even…artier with their their handcrafted albums. Following our time with them, Jessica had to head home ( but we brought her along on the roadtrip in the form of a little Alpaca) and Kayla, Aroha and I headed downtown to partake in the Members Only Waffle House and did a little stop at the Poop Cafe…..yes, the Poop. Cafe. As you can imagine, hilarity ensued. Aroha and I bid farewell to Kayla and then bopped back to London to pack up for our road trip. One of the things we did to break up the trip, was encourage our friend Kayla (who loves to research) to send us addresses and coordinates to different fun things to do along the way - so Aroha and I had all these mini adventures on our way across Ontario and into Manitoba (which is where we are for the next 2 days!). We saw a spaceship in Moonbeam, ate Persians in Thunderbay, mined for Amethyst in Shuniah, attended the Horticultural Society in Kapuskasing, stood in the direct center of Canada, walked around an artist’s commune full of Screaming Heads in Burk’s Falls, and so many other little stops. It truly made the trip this week so fun and enjoyable because we were able to stretch our legs, but see things that neither Aroha and I would standardly never stop to see. We still have about 5 days of traveling left, so I can’t wait to see what Kayla chooses for us then! But for now, we are resting at my home in Winnipeg, doing a little shooty shoot today with some friends, heading to the Hanson concert tonight (10 year old Teri is VERY excited), and then tomorrow will be rest, rest, and more rest before we continue on our wayward journey.
