FROM THE ARCHIVES: 45 min. N | 10am | Tulle | Romantic
I had photographed Zoe once before, as part of a project I was working on so when she said she wanted to do a Universe Decides photoshoot I was super excited! After we pulled the cards, we learned we were to drive 45 min. North to shoot at 10am and she had to wear something tulle and be romantic. Well, romantic screams flower crown to me (and also I am obsessed with flower crowns let’s be honest) so we gathered some beautiful flowers, hopped in the car, picked up Zoe and headed north. Well, being in Winnipeg and from where Zoe lives, it didn’t take us long before we had left the city and driven past Selkirk. We found ourselves on a dirt road surrounded by a marsh/lake/river on one side and fields and forests on the other. The clouds looked beautiful so I wanted to take advantage while they were looking so puffy and at 10am, we already found ourselves with haaaard light. But, I actually LOVE shooting with hard light - there are so many option and ways to be creative! Below is the session we created and dare I said I think we nailed it!
