At the end of the 3rd of workshops, I had the pleasure of organizing one of my biggest group projects to date. 60+ humans gathered on a field in Italy, grounded their feet into the grass, linked arms with each other, placed their hands on their tums and shouted: “MY BODY IS ART” In the moment, I was strategically aware of what was happening and making sure logistically we could see everyone, but upon reflection of what that project meant to me, was more so what it meant for the participants. It was hearing their thunderous warrior cry and watching them uplift and support each other that set my heart on fire. To be given the opportunity to rewrite the definition of beauty is not something I take lightly and I also know I can’t do it alone - projects like this allow me to invite others to help shift culture, help make change, and inspire a whole knew generation of accessible beauty that has 0 standards.

Beauty is

Humans supporting other humans
Lifting each other up
Cheering each other on
Moving unapologetically
Embracing their complex humanity
Freedom to be
Encouragement
Accessible to all
Celebrating small steps
Cheering on gigantic moves
Pushing past comfort zones
Grounding into nature
Creative expression
Rolls
Folds
Wrinkles
Scars
Melanated skin
Eyes of all shapes and sizes
Texture
Wild
Tamed
Young
Old
Introverted
Extroverted
And somewhere in between
Holding hands
Barefoot in the grass
Sun warming skin
Hair blowing in the wind
Hearts warming hearts
Kindness
Space holding
Compassion
Creativity
Presence
Inclusive
Redefined for all
